Flaming Lips Cover The Beatles on “I Am the Walrus” (video)

Flaming Lips famously went all out on their cover of Dark Side of the Moon in it’s entirety in both the release of an album and a tour, could the same be said for their new cover of “I Am the Walrus” by The Beatles? The Flaming Lips launch into a full-on, distortion-soaked version of “I Am the Walrus,” in their studio, complete with some sort of plastic device to modify the sound of Wayne Coyne’s vocals.

The Black Keys will release their new album, El Camino on Dec. 6, via Nonesuch Records. They have a super-creative approach to letting everyone about the release of El Camino, which so far has included the selling of an … El Camino.

Radiohead Hosting Worldwide Release Party for TKOL RMX Series

The Radiohead TKOL RMX 1234567 has been happening all Summer with all sorts of iterative releases in one-off singles. The set of Radiohead remixes has featured all sorts of great names like Harmonic 313, Caribou, Four Tet and others, and is available in physical form on Oct 10/11. There will be a worldwide release party on Oct. 11 at Corsica Studios in London with Jamie xx, Caribou, Lone, and Illum Sphere.

You can check it out live on the web on the 11th via the Boiler Room who’ll be using Ustream.
